3D and 2D . . . 3D wins for Monster House

Monster House is taking in on average two and a half times per screen for the 3D version than for the 2D version.  See an analysis here.  This is very good news for the folks backing the 3D turnover of Hollywood and the rest of the film theatre business.  Of course, the number of screens where 3D is available is still a pittance (we don’t have any digital 3D screens here in Taiwan, although we do have a couple IMAX screens on the island but they are not showing all of the new wave pieces as those are being distributed solely to the digital 3D systems theatres which have no install base here).  In any case, look for more.
