Waking Dreams Hypnosis Show . . .
. . . hypnotic hijinx at The Farmhouse in Taipei

I performed my Brian David Phillips Waking Dreams Hypnosis Show . . . at The Farmhouse in Taipei . . . 8:30pm, Saturday Night, July 29, 2006.  It was a hoot!

The photo above is from the digital photo set taken at the performance.  The volunteers are preparing to ride in a very exciting horserace while one fellow is still holding on to his ice cream cone from the previous bit (evidently he was reluctant to put it away as it tasted so goooooood).  There are also screencaptures from the video footage in the album.  Both digital photos and screencaps can be viewed in the online album here.

As always, my manager and interpreter was my beautiful wife, Lorraine Yuk-Lan Law Phillips (blog).  This show added a new twist as we had on-stage assistance from my good friend and fellow hypnotist Martin Chen (webpages) who was a great help in on-stage management of volunteers as well as providing interpretation for the straight-out suggestibility tests and hypnotic inductions).

As the show was at a new time, the audience was a smaller than our first gig at The Farmhouse . . . . actually, the staff came in early to open just for the show as the venue normally opens a bit later . . but . . . once we got started, the show was one of the best.  The energy was high and the volunteers were very good subjects.  We had a wonderful time.  I wish we had used more than a stationary camera this time out as it’s difficult to really see how broad the expressions were and how blissful the volunteers were in the footage from the video.

Compared to the previous set at the venue, we changed the gaglist and the set order and things streamed very smoothly.  I dropped a couple bits as we went and there were a couple missed music cues but the show was a keeper.

We will meet with the folks at The Farmhouse to set the date for the next show, it looks likely we will be returning to the venue for regular performances.  When we set a regular performance date, I will post it here.

See "Hypnosis Show" on my webpages at http://www.briandavidphillips.com for more the address and more details. There are also links to videos and photos of past performances there. The Brian David Phillips Waking Dreams Hypnosis Show is the only professional stage hypnosis show curently running in Taiwan.

Be sure to continue to support the BRIAN DAVID PHILLIPS WAKING DREAMS HYPNOSIS SHOW.  We are setting up our calendar for more shows in different venues in addition to what is likely to become a more regular peformance space.  Of course, if you know of a venue that would be suitable for a show or more, then feel free to drop Lorraine a line or – better yet – tell the management how much you loved our show and really really think they’d be crazy not to contact us soon before all the best dates are gone.  The more folks who support the show, the more hypnotic entertainment is possible in Taiwan.  Yes, we are available for certain parties as well as clubs and company event performances.  We our considering sets outside of Taipei as long as we can schedule them appropriately.  The show is tailored to event and venue needs so that everyone in attendance, volunteers and audience alike, will have a wonderful time!

For the show, see here for details . . . or, better still, go to the "Hypnosis Show" section of my webpages at http://www.BrianDavidPhillips.com for more informaiton and plenty of online videos and photos.

Be sure to check out my upcoming courses in Sept. The Early Bird deadline for signups approaches.

All the best,
Brian
