A LOT of girls starve themselves to look like underweight fashion models who are in themselves presented as an ideal when they are far from it . . . anoerexia should never be presented as beautiful . . . the recent controversy in the fashion industry of trying to artificially bring itself back into what might be considered some sort of norm is not a bad thing . . . first Australia championed real woman sizes and now Spain is banning underweight models.

What constitutes the ban, models who fail an onsite medical exam for body-fat ratio will not be allowed to participate. Those with a body mass index under 18 will be exluded . . . the World Health Organisation classifies women with a body mass index of less than 18.5 as underweight.
