Tericka Dye is getting screwed . . . big time . . . and not in a good way . . . she was fired from her teaching postion because she appeared in an adult film eleven years ago. . . yes, something she did long ago . . . something she did long ago that has nothing to do with her current lifestyle or her job . . . something she did long ago that was perfectly legal when she did it . . . something that is no one’s business in regard to her teaching professionalism . . . KY Porn Star/Teacher Won’t Be Re-Hired . . . she is also being denied due process in terms of the appeal to get her job back . . .

An attorney for the McCracken County school board says a recommendation has been made that a former science teacher who appeared in an adult film not be re-hired. Tericka Dye was suspended with pay in April after the surfacing of an 11-year-old adult film in which she appeared. Attorney Mark Blankenship maintains that Dye’s suspension was illegal and unconstitutional. State law allows for tribunal hearings when a teacher receives a written reprimand, is fired or suspended without pay. Hearing officer Scott Majors ruled that Dye was not entitled to a hearing because she was suspended with pay. Dye filed a lawsuit three weeks ago in an effort to get her job back and the school board sent a response Tuesday, asking for dismissal of the suit. The response says that because the petition for judicial review filed by Blankenship did not include the name and address of the Kentucky Department of Education, it should be dismissed.

There is a technical legal term for what this is . . . give me a minute . . . oh, yes, that’s it . . . the technical legal term for the case against Dye is BULLSHIT. So what if she appeared in Ass Whores 12 long ago . . . it has nothing to do with her teaching . . . it’s not like she’s been giving DVDs to kids (although I will bet you that orders of the title increased in her community among fathers) or that she’s been trying to convert the kids to the joys of becoming professional ass whores when they grow up. Sheesh. She’s been teaching for two years and the films were made long before she ever stepped into the classroom. She’s not handing out business cards for AVN or Get Laid Studios to the volleyball teach she coaches. She’s been dong her job. There were NO complaints about her teaching, her coaching, or her professional conduct . . . only that some folks on the school board thought having her in a classroom might be distracting . . . so . . . the distraction comes and then it goes as long as they don’t make a big deal about it and focus on the job at hand.

By the way, why do you think the “scandal” has suddenly come to light after all these years? Dye is in the middle of a messy divorce and she and her husband are battling over who gets child custody . . . hmmmmm. Coincidence?

In any case, the school board is trampling over her rights. The rest is pretence.
