Of Commuity and Fathering Same

Ross Jeffries makes some good points in comments on my Seduction Emperor . . . new clothes, style or substance?. . . or, just another middle aged guy who can’t relate? post.

Actually . . . when I think about it . . . Weber wasn’t really one to build a community (nor were any of the other predecessors of contemporary seduction studies) . . . whether internet-based or not, I would say Ross did indeed build a community . . . certainly, enough to be considered a father of that community in that sense . . . and stressing the concept of community is very important. Richard Bandler as one of the grandfathers? I can see that, although his old “seduction” and “flirtation” training videos are nothing compared to the way the science of influence has been developed today for the specific area of seduction. Still, they are worth watching for “historical” purposes. I wouldn’t really put Erickson in the lineage of seduction studies as he really didn’t do anything in that regard . . . true, his work influenced NLP which influenced early innovative application of NLP to the area of seduction by Ross but it’s not the same as developing something specific to the field.
