My wife, daughter, and I have recently been watching a lof of Indiana Jones . . . all the movies back to back followed by ten of the televisin series films . . . therefore the scene from Temple of Doom with the monkey brains is still in our heads . . . so, when The Taipei Kid says that people are eating LIVE monkey brains in Nantou County in Taiwan, it does not conjure happy images, rather it’s pretty much right there. Monkey brains used to be considered a delicacy but as the proper preparation is so complicated and incredibly cruel, the practice died out long ago. Evidently someone’s decided such things are worth paying for. Idjits.
