According to some research, bad weather increases the chances of folks cheating on their spouses. Evidently this is especially true of women, particularly when it’s raining.
Sarah O’Meara writes of studies with illicit dating sites (websites dedicated to helping cheaters find partners to cheat with) that found bad weather has been directly correlated to increased registrations, especially among women during rainy weather.
Of course, there’s a huge difference between registering for a site that specializes in hookups for affairs and actually having an affair. Some folks sign up for such sites out of curiosity or boredom (which increases during bad weather) while others have an interest but never follow through and some limit any cheating to cyber relationships only.
