This came through my google news alerts on hypnosis . . . Blockbuster: Favre stars in "Locker Space" (web) . . .  and I immediately got not one but two emails asking me if I had heard of the film . . . uh, that’s not the summary of a real movie.  That’s just Dale Miller’s idea of a jokish sports story in which he takes the plot of the rather funny film Office Space (web) and rewrites it to include some of the players in the recent story about Brett Favre’s locker being retired by the Green Bay Packers.  Since he didn’t signpost that he was writing a joke rather than a serious sports story, I assume Miller assumed that his readership would "get" the joke.  Unfortunately, there still are humans who haven’t seen "Office Space" and there are folks who might stumble on a comedy sports essay via the web who don’t know anything about American football (the internet stretches beyond the narrow confines of special interest or geography so accidental clicks into foreign and exotic territory happen).

I really enjoyed "Office Space" despite the cliche and misinformation regarding someone being "stuck" in hypnosis (sorry, can’t happen) but even that was well done and funny – well, I thought it was funny.
