Smoking Accounts for Health Gap . . .
. . . Smoke and Die Early

We’ve noted articles on this in the past but here it is from the BBC in a new guise in a new study that once again that . . . smoking accounts for health gap . . . studies have shown that smoking accounts for half of the health problems and, most significantly, lower life expectancy for men . . . demonstrated in the social gap as well as the gender gap.

Smoking has long been demonstrated to have huge costs in industry productivity, national healthcare costs, and individual healthcare costs.

It’s become a bit of a no-brainer for everyone except the tobacco companies and hardcore smokers (most of the smokers also know the health risks).

So, once again, a major international study has shown the clear links. Some governments are moving forward with programs to encourage folks to stop smoking but it takes more than a whim to do it. The rate of stop smokers who return to the habit is high in part due to social pressures (if you stop smoking but your friends are still smoking or you find yourself in a smokey atmosphere then returning to smoking seems almost inevitable for many). However, help is possible.

Hypnosis is one of the most effective of the stop smoking helpers . . . albeit, even though it has a higher success rate than cold turkey, patches, gum, and the rest, it still is a real road for many people and requires honest and real committment. In fact, I won’t work with people for stop smoking unless it is they who want to quit . . . if you come to me for hypnosis because your spouse or a friend has told you to, then don’t bother calling as I don’t want you wasting your money (I want your money, really, I do, but I’d much rather you get good service for it rather than throwing it away).

If you are in Taipei, and speak English, then consider hypnosis to help you . . . my webpage at http://www.briandavidphillips.com has more information. While I want your business . . . I am, after all, a hypnotist . . . there are links to other competent hypnotists in Taipei who work in Chinese for those preferring that language.

All the best,
Brian
