David Gerrold, author of The Trouble with Tribbles (the extremely popular Star Trek episode . . . which I also happen to teach in a few of my classes, usually with my pet tribble at hand) . . . has an awesome article at ABC News . . . The Science Fiction Files . . . which gives an excellent run down on how science fiction literature has predicted technological breaktrhoughs and what more may be ahead. Go read the article, it’s a keeper (do I sound fanboyish enough on this one?). Really, a good read.
