Where is that place?

Sandy posts a question as a comment at the David’s Visit Post regarding one of the photos . . . shown here but see the original post for a clearer version and the online gallery for the best view . . .

"Hey Two Magic Teachers, I am just wondering where is the location of the place in the second photo? I am not even certain if it’s somewhere in Taipei." [ed.]

The second photo is inside the "Hall of Buddhas" at Chengdu Temple (Lorraine can tell you exactly where that is, David and I just rode in the car happy to go where ever Lorraine drove us . . . but then, everyone reacts to Lorraine that way).

The hall is very beautiful . . . basically a long hallway with statues of various Buddhas or bodhisatva along the way . . . those are not paintings you see along the sides, they are recesses, each with a full size life sized or larger statue of a divine being, many scary, some frightening, and a whole lot of them inspired and . . . well, divine . . . some with clear Hindi and Taoist derivations or mixtures. The big golden many-handed Buddha at the end of the tunnel is very beautiful indeed.

The photos are tagged and named in the full album with a LOT more pictures from that Temple as well . . . tons of beautiful Buddhas and more. The full galleries of the non-hypnosis part of David’s visit are here while the stage hypnosis seminar gallery is here although I think you may have seen those.

The little blurb at the end of the post has photo notes but they seem to be too tiny for most folks . . . here they are a bit bigger . . . One, Brian David Phillips and David Fontenot in front of Chengdu Temple; Two, Lorraine Phillips, Kaye Phillips, and David Fontenot inside the Hall of Buddhas at Chengdu Temple; Three, David Fontenot and Brian David Phillips at Driftwood Restraunt in Taipei.

All the best,
Brian
