Here it is . . . fireworks from the tallest building on the planet . . . Taipei 101 New Year’s Fireworks . . .

We didn’t go as we were having our annual potluck get-together but a few friends did go. Instead of the estimated 200,000 people (more than capacity), there were over 400,000 people in attendance (way over capacity by more than a whole lot). The show cost over twenty million dollars. Our friends were in the thick of it and then after the fireworks at midnight spent the next three and a half hours walking, trying to find a taxi.
