What a wonderful idea . . . Simultaneity . . .

Multiple photographs documenting particular moments in time. Every member takes one photo of something at exactly the same time, on the same date, as it occurs, world-wide. You only get one shot at it! Dates, times and subjects will be set on the discussion board. The First project for Simulaneity is 7pm 7th August 2005: Submit ONE photograph of yourself… taken at 7pm Sunday 7th August 2005… NOTE: for this particular project, you are only required to work relative to to your time zone i.e. when your clock strikes se7en… you only get one shot… *you must be in the photograph… whether its your whole body, or just a part of your body HOWEVER *this time, the following year (7pm, 7th August 2006), you will be asked to submit a photograph with as close to exactly the same composition… i.e. your body from the same angle, in the same part of the frame etc Limit the amount of people in the photo to just yourself… or, make yourself the obvious center/focus of the photo. Based on the suggestion put forward by Bandido of Oz, the group tag will be: “2005-08-07T19:00:00” NOTE: This is not an upload deadline, photos may be submitted at any time after the allocated time/date. What matters is when the photo is taken Each photo must describe a general location (e.g. country, city/town, area etc). Each photo must only contain one person as the main subject. *** The second project for Simultaneity will ask members to attempt to take a photo at a universal time – relative to a particular time-zone.
