Hypnosis . . . for changing bad habits . . .
. . . stop smoking to much much more . . .

A nice piece on how hypnotherapy can really help:

She tried the patch. She tried the gum. She even went cold turkey. None of it worked for New Iberia resident Theresa Flash, who had been smoking about two packs of cigarettes a day for 35 years. But, for the last five months, she’s been cigarette free, avoiding more than 6,000 cigarettes and saving nearly $850 in the process. Flash, along with a growing number of Acadiana area people, turned to another option to overcome bad habits or personal problems: hypnotherapy. "Smoking wasn’t an option for me anymore, and it boiled down to my wanting to quit. Hypnosis was the perfect way to do that," she said. "I don’t know how it worked but it worked – I could walk into a store and think ‘I want a pack of cigarettes’ but I wasn’t able to say it." Hypnotherapy helped her quit smoking, but it can be used for several things people want to change in their lives, said Terry Menard, a local hypnotherapist.

The point about saving money on cigarettes is a very powerful one. Many folks look at a session cost for hypnosis and think it’s expensive for just "talking with your eyes closed" but it is so much more than that (especially when done by someone who is competent and knowledgeable) . . . when you look at how much money you save in the longterm from costs in cigarrettes, not to mention health costs, it’s a bargain at ten times the price.
