3D Round Three . . .
. . . anaglyph or polarized?

While the upcoming 3D revolution sounds exciting, 3D Round Three: This time, it’s digital, this doesn’t sound so promising:

Theatergoers still have to wear those familiar cardboard glasses with red-and-blue cellophane, although backers of the new technology say it doesn’t cause the eyestrain common with past 3D efforts.

I really hope they’re not actually going with an anaglyph system. Polarized systems are so much more powerful and realistic without the red-blue rivalry of the anaglyphic systems for 3D.

From the sounds of the new system these guys are working with, it shouldn’t be too difficult to adapt it to polarized projection as well for digital systems.
