Tranceplay . . . good times

The TRANCEPLAY workshop was a wonderful experience!

On 16 January 2005, the Taipei Experimental Hypnosis Workshop met. This month’s original topic was to be TRANCEPLAY (Improvisational Creative Playfulness and Hypnotic Induction and Imagery) but as we has a very large group, much more than originally planned at twenty-plus participants shoved into our living room, I decided to do a review of the Elman induction as well as playful creative inductions. A few of the folks didn’t quite have the English-language skills we normally require for the workshop so it was so slow going at first but we eventually found a rhythm for my explanations and reasonably fast interpretation.

When I demonstrated the induction at full speed after the explanation, it blew a lot of folks away. I also played a lot with instant inductions which I love. A number of folks commented that althouth they’ve been doing hypnosis for quite some time they’d never experienced it so deeply and so fast. There were a number of professional trainers in attendance who had also never seen anyone who was so fast . . . quite impressive. I had a wonderful time. As anyone with a heartbeat and even cursory experience of me knows, I LOVE hypnosis and I LOVE teaching so I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TEACHING HYPNOSIS and will take every opportunity I can to do a workshop or demo so expect the coming year to have a lot of positive things and much more on that end. Quite a few folks have been asking for some formal seminars on full-on hypnosis training on this and other advanced hypnosis topics as well as some of the more esoteric things I do along with vanilla straight on stuff so expect some of those as well.

Many of the participants remarked that they really regretted that I wasn’t taping the workshops so in futue we’ll see about videotaping the explanation parts. I had meant to take some still photos but got so carried away with popping all these wonderful willing folks into trance that I completely spaced out on getting the camera out . . . or, maybe someone hypnotized me to forget it. Hmmm.

If you live in these parts and would like to join us or if you are interested in hypnosis for therapeutic, entertainment, or recreational use, contact me.
