64 Percent of Young Women Groped on Tokyo Trains

I’m all for groping . . . between consenting adults, that is . . . but this is ridiculous . . . 64 percent of young women groped on Tokyo trains:

Nearly 64 percent of Japanese women in their 20s and 30s participating in a survey said they’ve been groped on trains, subways or at transit stations in Tokyo, according to a news report Tuesday.

Nonconsensual groping by strangers has been a huge problem on Japanese mass transit for a long time with no clear solutions in sight other than recent proposals to have male and female cars with no gender mixing which in and of itself assumes that most men are groping. Part of the problem is also how women react to unwanted attention of this type.

Taipei has it’s overinflated mass transit frottage and groping problems as well.
