There has some discussion recently on one of the umpteen milliion email lists I belong to regarding the plight of a young woman who participates in recreational online chat hypnosis sessions who has asked about her dillemna of having had someone give inappropriate suggestions which caused her to react in such a way that reaction that stopped anyone hypnotising her at all. The specifics of hypnotist and what happened have not been discussed and areally aren’t all that relevant to the discussion of technique here.

She does want to continue to enjoy recreational hypnosis with others, particularly with one hypnotist with whom she’s had positive sessions with in the past. Unfortunately, despite his continued work and support, she has found herself unable to trance very well because of the negative exeperience.
