THE BIG BAD THYNG 實境RPG (角色扮演遊戲真人版)

Please email director@interactivedramas.info with your character request for this upcoming THE BIG BAD THYNG Halloween-themed interactive drama session. You are more likely to get what your request if you sign up and confirm earlier rather than later. Chinese correspondence goes to lorraine@briandavidphillips.com (since it’s Halloween, we’re loosening things up so the session is open to both English and Chinese speakers and the scenario is built to allow for monolinguals and bilinguals who bridge the gap – this is a very unique approach and I don’t know of any other scenario designed to take advantage of actual linguistic barriers as part of the presupposition of the piece — yes, I will likely write this one up for the Journal of Interactive Drama for the unique nature of the piece).

Let me know if you wish your character to be “Good” or “Evil” or “Insane” and your language ability (monolingual Chinese, monolingual English, bilingual Chinese-English – monolingual Chinese should correspond with Lorraine so please invite your friends and send them to her as the director for that part of the game).

Also tell us your preferred supernatural “race” as found on the scenario explanation websheet at http://www.interactivedramas.info/tbadthyng.htm . . . if you aren’t sure then just let us know and we’ll be sure to give you something fun.

If you want to be placed on the list of “performers” for the scenario’s Club Hellfire then let me know. Some folks will do actual live performances as part of the scenario (for the entertainment of all). Plan for about five minutes or so if you wish to perform. We have music and mesmerism and mentalism on the table and are happy to add much more or the same or other variety. Wouldbe, Hellfire entertainers are asked to perform in-character and encouraged to select material that fits the scenario context, although material choice is up to you.

The scenario is set for Sat. afternoon of Oct. 30 and those who wish to stay for dinner and the Halloween potluck get-together in the evening may do so . . . sort of an AfterLARP slash Halloween Costume socializing party, although we will be inviting non-participant mundanes as well (you are encouraged to invite non-player significant others as well, of course).
