Want to quite smoking? Try hypnosis. Seriously, give it a go.

Amy Norton has been reporting for Reuters on new developments in the world of scientific research into hypnosis, old news for some of us but good to see new work is confirming it. Her story can be found at http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/05/07/us-smoking-acupuncture-idINBRE84601X20120507 and provides the nutshell that smoking . . . and other treatment modalities . . . have been found to be rather effective for helping folks stop smoking.

Of course, the original meta study published in the American Journal of Medicine is the real find as this meta study that looked into the results of a number of peer-reviewed academic studies found hypnosis to be very beneficial for many in stopping smoking. See http://www.amjmed.com/article/S0002-9343(12)00003-4/abstract for more.
