We seem to have managed to correctly fix the playback issues with the Special Free Membership Bonus Items at https://briandavidphillips.net/category/special-free-membership-bonus-items/. The issue was not with our player or security software but with how the MP4 conversions. The appropriate meta tags in the MP4 tags that the player needs for streaming were at the end of the files (standard for MP4 files) so the player had to wait for the beasties to load all the way before folks could play the things. This is NOT a good thing if you want to play right away and let the buffer fill while you go. So, the support folks gave me a link to a useful utility that allowed me to switch the tags and lo and behold playback without issue. The original test video worked fine because it was really really short but we have plans to put in some bonus videos over an hour in length eventually so that’s not a good solution at all.

When the beastie is done . . . and I’ve got everything the way I want it with multiple membership levels, downloadable content shops, streaming courses, forum resources and more . . . we will be consolidating this site with my main site by replacing the old site with this one through a massive migration.
