The incomparable Dita von Teese performs the classic Champagne Glass Dance. This is one of the first burlesque bits I saw when I was a boy and seeing it back then I became immediately enamored of burlesque performance . . . not just because it was a naked lady stripping down and jumping into a giant glass filled with oil . . . no, not at all . . . okay, maybe that had SOMETHING to do with it . . . but the imprintin’s in and I’ve loved burlesque ever since. Note, I said burlesque, not stripping . . . sure, strippin’s great but burlesque is so much more, at least for me.

Burlesque also has more than the sexy bits, there’s solid comedy too. Someday, I’d like to organize a burlesque show with some mentalism and comedy hypnosis too. While Taiwan has some of that, there ain’t much.
