The BBC is reporting that surfers in Saltburn are receiving hypnotic boosts to their skillsets.  Actually, the piece – http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/tees/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8912000/8912230.stm– reports that the owner of a local surf shop is doing his graduate level research in cognitive hypnotherapy and is looking to work with surfers who wish to accelerate their skillsets and deal with mental blocks via hypnosis.

Of course, regular readers of my blog (both here and in its former location) know that hypnosis is wonderful for improving skills and performance enhancement.

Athletes are excellent hypnotic candidates as they tend to be very focused and understand the feeling of being in the “zone” which is its own form of trance.

I have had excellent results working with athletes, dancers, and other performers.
