The hospital where the queen had her surgery has performed over four thousand similar procedures. They often use hypnotic sedation with elderly patients due to the risks involved with chemical anasthesia. All went well and the queen underwent the hypnotic sedation without difficulty or incident.
Fabiola is very familiar with hospital practice. She was a nurse when she first met the king back in the 1950's.
Regular readers of this blog understand that studies have shown that patients who undergo medical procedures with hypnosis rather than chemical anasthesia tend to heal more quickly and have fewer negative effects from the surgery. Certainly, they do not run any of the risks that chemical sedation brings.
