Well . . . if you didn’t know you were living in the twenty-first century of all those science fiction novels and bigbrotherish dystopias of our youth . . . you are . . . and here’s the proof . . . Homeland Security Detects Terrorist Threats by Reading Your Mind . . . yep, you read that right (with images and video).  Airport security scans may soon include a Malintent scan that scans your body and physiology for nonverbal cues that you may be planning to harm fellow passengers or others.  The whole thing still has a lot of holes in it but there is a lot of work being done in developing this and similar technology.  Yes, Homeland Security IS the American arm of Big Brother and folks can look forward to more of the same for the future.  Malintent won’t just be used at airports but is likely to be put into use at many events and venues.
