However her piece has a lot more food for thought. There may be some who are still locked in the nineteenth century who see hypnosis colored by the attitudes and misconceptions of that century, but more and more in the medical profession and elsewhere are discovering the peer reviewed journal papers and more that prove hypnosis is not merely makebelieve or roleplay or worse . . . it’s a genuine state of mind that can be extremely powerful and beneficial.
