Older . . . yes . . . wiser . . . well . . . uh . . .

Well, it’s that time of year again . . . as of . . . wait for it . . . right . . . almost there . . . right . . . now . . . as I compose this . . . I’ve been using this body for 44 years . . . the double-four . . . the wear and tear is a bit more than some of the bodies I’ve carried for longer years in previous incarnations but despite what has sometimes seemed the embodiment of the old Chinese curse "may you live in interesting times" and the times have certainly been interesting . . . this life has been a good one so far and is likely to be a good one for some time to come so I’ll hang on to it.

BTW, Lorraine, I am happy to be growing older with you (growing older, not growing old).  I love you.
