More fun with Derren Brown. Ormond McGill used to do this sort of stuff with bus drivers, getting them to forget the next stop or their route. It’s a form of waking suggestion that he would practice for fun, technique enhancement, and skill development. See McGill’s excellent The New Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism, the single most comprehensive book on entertainment hypnosis available (it is an encyclopedia so it is a big heavy book, one I highly reccommend).
