This looks like another turf war over market than genuine understanding of or appreciation of hypnosis . . . Hypnotherapy faces scrutiny . . . even the information given from the hypnotists has misapprehension in it. This news is of particular interest as a number of the local hypnotists from Taiwan have been invited to teach in China as more people there are becoming interested in hypnosis. Nine times out of ten, sensationalist news of this type regarding regulations and the like is prompted by a concern over market share that is presented AS IF it were a concern for public welfare. Anyone with a clear understanding of hypnosis knows that much of the claims against it are either false or grossly exaggerated.
