Hypnotism in Russia a street-crime weapon?

Just received one request for information on how to protect one from this sort of thing and three for information on how to do it . . . Hypnotism in Russia a street-crime weapon?

It’s not just hypnosis. It’s a combination of waking suggestion, belief (victims have a belief in it working), engaged imagination, pattern interrupt, con tricks, and guillibility (not just suggestibility).

How to do it? Sorry, I would not post that to a public blog and probably wouldn’t teach it to most folks.

How to protect yourself? 1. Stop allowing for the possiblity. 2. Recognize and learn to say “no” to conment. 3. Continue to be a caring person but program yourself to recognize and deal with people who are conmen. Most of it is having healthy skepticism and an active critical faculty. However, yes, you can use trance methods to program yourself to recognize cons more effectively and to have more resistance to inappropriate manipulation.

Keep in mind that a lot of the so-called “gypsy hypnosis” out there in Russia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other places where it is often reported (albeit, it may not always be associated with “gypsies” as it is unfairly done in this particular news story . . . has NOTHING to do with con tricks, manipulation, or the like . . . it’s drugs. They spray a chemical in the air towards the victim that causes a trance-like torpor and compliance (a number of drugs can have this effect). Many have a side effect of amnesia (date drugs have similar effect).

Hypnosis or even waking suggestion is not being used at all in most cases . . . 99% of the cases have NOTHING to do with trance or suggestion . . . in the description of the case in the news coverage, the flashy ring was indeed a fixation object but it probably was intended to disguise the delivery of the drug mist.

All the best,
Brian
