Salt Lake Tribune reports that new HBO series makes polygamy weirdly normal and quotes the creators of the new drama series exploring the life of a polygamous family as saying they did a lot of research and read the newspapers and books dealing with the issue but purposefully stayed clear of the groups that are pro-polygamy as they wanted to avoid folks with an agenda. Isn’t avoiding material by people with an agenda itself an agenda? Particularly when pretty much most of the rest of the material will be anti-polygamy. Not sure how this will play out in the series and am doubtful the local HBO will be carrying it at least for some time.
