Patrick Dubé . . . lurker mode off . . .
. . . phenomenal stereographic galleries

Patrick Dubé has recently posted a lurker mode off message to the 3D Stereoview eXchange email list that I run.

He posted a link to his galleries at . . . http://www.solitonbeat.com/StereoPix/ . . . these are his cross-eyed 3D pix and were all taken with his twined Sony V1 rig with LANC Shepherd, then processed and aligned with Photoshop CS2.

Wow . . . just plain wow. It is a pure pleasure to go through his complete galleries online. Wow. I am incredibly envious of both the quality of his skill and at the obvious sophistication and accuracy and range he is able to get out of his rig. There are some simply amazing shots in there that truly demonstrate remarkable potential within the medium. Just seeing the folks on the street with a little kickball suspended in midair in a shot taken from a building demonstrates some phenomenal skill and equipment. His girlfriend Marie’s hair caught flowing all about with single strands of hair captured perfectly synchronized between left and right views. Wow, wow, wow. He has some very fascinating 3D club photos and music shots as well.  Even without the 3D stereoscopic effect, his sports photos would be fascinating in and of themselves with bodies and balls often suspended perfectly in flight, but when you see them in true 3D they are truly truly amazing.  My envy meter is running full throttle when looking at these puppies.  Wow, wow, wow, and wow again.

That’s a terrific series of galleries he’s got there . . . now that he’s turned >Lurker_mode_off<, I for one really hope he continues to share more and more images and album galleries with the eXchange. Be sure to drop Patrick a line and let him know his images and his sharing of them is much appreciated and encourage him to continue to shoot more of the same and more.

If you have an interest in 3D stereophotography, feel free to join the 3D Stereoview eXchange as well. There are folks on the list from all over the planet, from seasoned hands to raw beginners and every flavor in between with interest in shooting 3D in as wide a variety of contexts as you can imagine, from family snapshots to commercial applications to adult entertainment. The common interest is stereophotography and the regulars are very willing and quite happy to give pointers to newcomers to the hobby.
