Daniel Carlson of Slowly Going Bald writes an entertaining review of Serenity which is worth the look-see.  Calson doesn’t think much of most scifi but comes in raving on this one.  See the whole review for yourself . . . noting that his final sentence is the kicker, "It’s a touching, human story, with brilliant action and thrills. In other words, it’s the best sci-fi movie I’ve ever seen." Lorraine tells me that there was evidently an actual test run of the film in a sneak preview theatre in Taipei which she learned about too late for us to get in.  Grrr.  Hopefully, this means they’ll actual bring it here eventually.  I am still biting at the bit to see it.  While Carlson notes that many fans have been waiting three years to see the film in the US, it looks like my wait will be longer.
