Hypnosis For IBS . . .
. . . controversial?
. . . . . . NOT!

Local 10 on Florida, has a blurb regarding Hypnosis For IBS.

While it’s great that they are giving some coverage to this very important treatment modality folks need to know about (IBS hist more and more people every year), this comment is a bit off-center:

Hypnosis For IBS . . . Hypnosis is a controversial new approach that is offering hope to some people who suffer with irritable bowel syndrome.

Controversial? Nope. Hypnosis has become very much a highly reccommended treatment for IBS (Iritable Bowel Syndrome) as the data from a number of studies have shown very very promising results.

IBS is highly affected by the Mind-Body connection so that hypnosis for simple relaxation and stress relief does a lot of good towards the condition. Thrown in appropriate therapeutic suggestions with imagery related to regulating the bowels and getting the person back on track, and success statistics go much higher.
