Tha huha on the Bush Wired’ Story Continues; ’Bulge’ Appears in Third Debate has conspiracy theorists going from Bush cheating while wearing a wire to wearing a bac-mounted defibrillator . . . the former seems more likely than the latter, but who knows.

The “evidence” regarding eye accessing cues from the Neruolinguistic Programming (NLP) folks is interesting and certainly points to some of Bush’s previous behaviors, but the fact that he was looking down and to the left is not evidence he was cheating. Even when the eye accessing data is reliable, it must be calibrated to an individual. We don’t all look the same directions for different functions.

Folks who claim everyone has the same habits are using material that is decades out of date and long proven incorrect. Bush may have been cheating . . . make that probably . . . but the eye movement information given as evidence is NOT the proof of the pudding.
