Hmmm. Page 3 – Model Propaganda: The Sun, The Girls, The Truth . . . I really don’t see how this could be a surprise to anyone that Murdoch uses all aspects of his media empire as a means of espousing his ideological views. Just because it’s glamour photography, doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some connection to editorial views. The free and independant press always has a slant . . . sometimes more obvious than others such as the Page 3 blurbs but even with media that claims to be unbiased and uncensored, self-editorial positioning is still rather evident. Regardless. Heck, I may claim to be unbiased here at Life of Brian but anyone with an ounce of gray matter can figure out my editorial slant and will note that there are certain items I choose not to discuss here or that when I do so, I position place them in a powerless position. Humans do that . . . so it’s no shocker that media moguls might just be doing the same thing, particularly in their editorial view or positioning.
