Internet sex addict show sets out to shock the Fringe . . . basically Tim Fountain’s show is him going online at gaydar and finding some guy to meet – based upon the audience’s votes – he sets up a meeting, goes out and meets the guy, has sex, and then comes back and tells the audience about it. The “date” is never aware he has been part of performance art. Tim claims to have had sex with over 5,000 men and one lesbian. I don’t doubt his claim, given some surveys of gay swing lifestylers . . . but I do doubt the intelligence of the act. Come on, Tim, at least tell the guys what you’re about and see if they’re still interested. Many of them will still want to have sex with you and they’ll think it’s kind of neat you’ll be talking about them. Some will even show up for the performance. If you don’t tell them what you’re about, then you’re just as bad as those idiots in the high school jock’s locker room with their kiss-and-tell lifestyle.
