Sometimes when different countries borrow a television franchise for themselves they make adjustments. There are plenty of American programs that are based upon shows from other countries – I can think of a number of British shows that have become hit or miss American versions.

The Americans got upset with an obviously accidental momentary nipslip on their version so this sort of thing goes way beyond anything they could imagine.
