Some excellent points about how film studios have created a cycle of turning to 3D film whenever they find home media cutting into their box office in order to create an experience that cannot be duplicated in the home theatre.

Of course, that’s part of what is happening now . . . in fact the big film guys are even pushing for 3D in digital theatres only in the mistaken belief that that’s the only way reliable 3D can be created. It isn’t true as there are already some reliable 3D projection solutions . . . for theatres and for home.

However, it is true that we’re going to see an explosion in stereoscopic entertainment that will be a ride unlike anything previously created.
