I find conversational influence fascinating . . . particularly as it relates to intimate communication. As many of you know, there are folks who devote a great deal of study into Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and conversational or covert hypnosis as it applies to seduction or intimacy building. Now, hypnosis is a consensual state as is seduction. It is interesting to see how some folks use influence patterns in order to increase the likelihood of success at seduction – consensual but still a strategy for these folks.

Darren (PUA4Life) has put some videos of himself and Hoobie (Aus.Seduction) online running these sort of patterns.

Ethics aside . . . so, let’s stay off that thread . . . I’ve already seen a couple negative comments about these guys based upon simple technique as well as a few wholesale praise pieces which I didn’t agree with elsewhere and I do think their take on how successful some of these runs were is often pretty subjective . . . but . . . they certainly do have some confidence in to put the videos up for others to see . . . there are some interesting things here and it is really nice that they’ve put them up . . . both the successful and the not even close to successful . . .

The "do you wanna fuck" bits at the beginning are rather like the old Ugly George line of "show me your tits" except without the ten percent success rate followed by at "do you wanna fuck?" line with an aggregate one percent success rate but as Ugly George was the quantity rather than quality guy, he still had a lot of random sex.

Now, I’m not up on a lot of the current stuff in that particular subgroup of influence folks but . . . could someone please let us know the specifics of . . .

These seemed to be their standard tact and the powerpuff one really seemed to be extremely effective in changing states.

They are obviously running patterns as they use the same approaches with most of the girls they video.

The sound in the videos is horrible and "Hoobie’s" camera work left a lot to be desired . . . but it really was an interesting watch.

As it is nearly impossible to hear the dialog, could someone tell me what exactly Darren (I Am the Future) was doing with that girl’s palm and the "in a minute you will notice something about to happen to your hand" bit right after the strawberries visualization.

I was really reminded of some of the "Influence Projects" my students do at the university. We study Robert Cialdini’s Influence: Science and Practice in the various communication courses and I have the students choose a law of persuasion or an influence technique to design an experiment for. They video or photography with audiorecording their run of at least twenty-five subjects and then present their results in class. The video quality and playfulness in the pua4life clips has the same feel . . . albeit, a very very different context.

In any case, interesting.

Someone with direct knowledge of the techniques being attempted want to tell us exactly what they are or at least some useful references as well as what your take is on whether they are considered successes by other folks in that area?

I watched the set with a friend who knows a little formal hypnosis but has no NLP experience and who is completely ignorant of any speed seduction material. He kept saying that the comments were way off as they were claiming a success at a pickup for having a random photo with a tourist (as a foreigner in Taiwan, I get asked to pose for photos with folks quite often so it’s not that weird a thing). He also noted that they would make comments on how "hot" the girls were when they did not get phone numbers or the girls would leave them – he found the whole "apple stealing" bit was a little on the creepy side. However, once they got to the AMOG stuff, it became very interesting as there was obvious connections. A couple other bits were obviously high energy with some very evident positive state changes with the girls. The whole boobies thing was left-of-center too . . . when I was a young man and dinosaurs walked the Earth, no one told me it was okay to reach over to a just-met girl’s top and move the material aside to get a look at the nipples. Who would have thunk it? I am evidently living on a different planet than everyone else. 🙂

It would be nice to see more videos of this type out there . . . the kind with regular folks doing some basic through advanced stuff, successes and failures . . . rather than processed and heavily edited stuff used to promote rather than demonstrate.
