Tom Cruise has opened up to Rolling Stone about his love-slash-obession with Scientology . . . complete with railing against psychiatry and psychology. The nifty thing about all that stuff is that while Hubbard talked about hypnosis as being a bad thing and that his followers should never go to therapists other than the church, he was a hypnotist back in the day when his writing was still considered science fiction by most. He and the Church of Christ Scientist founder had a lot in common.
