Lovechess is an interactive computer game that is basically a chess game. Like any other PC chess game, one plays chess against the computer.

However, instead of watching the pieces kill each other as in most games of this type (the wonderful old Battlechess comes to mind), the pieces here have sex with one another. Yes, it’s a bit of a sophomoric idea but it appeals to enough folks . . . twisted folks like me . . . that the game has taken off.

The board is ostensibly based upon a concept of Greek and Trojan gods battling one another and having sex with everyone.

The game has two modes, beginner and advanced for style of play. You play against the computer’s AI. I am a bit surprised that they haven’t put online play capabilities into the game with a textchat or voice chat mode as that seems to be the future for most games of this type.
