Russell Brand is perhaps not the first person you think of when you think of spiritual awakening or enlightenment of the spirit. He may very well not even be in your top ten or fifty or six hundred sixty six and yet here he is.
Tim Shieff has created a compilation video of various moments in Brand interviews over the years in which he espouses his spiritual beliefs.
Shieff explains his project:
What a privilege it was to edit the words of one of the greatest men of our generation. Having said that this video is not about Russell Brand at all it is about the message and that message has never been more simple, its LOVE. I share a lot of the same beliefs with Russell and was inspired to do this project as he says things I feel and in such an open, honest and pure way on media platforms in the public eye. Trimmed from hours of inspiring, loving and pure truth interviews/talks Russell has been involved in throughout the last year. I do not own any of the rights to the visual or audio content within this video. It was made as creative project. An expression of newage theories in a somewhat artistic way.
Some folks go into the video thinking it’s a joke . . . Brand is a comedian . . . but a joke it is not. These do represent his true thoughts in uncensored moments of frankness. Some folks enjoy the addition of the musical soundtrack and others find it distracting, Shieff explains his intent:
I edited this video and it in my opinion is a lot more powerful with the music it wouldnt of been shared nearly as much without it so I apologise to whoever dislikes it but the message is whats important and I am doing my best to spread the message to as many people as possible, hope you understand x
It is in no way my intention to convert anyone to the cult of x . . . but the piece is worth the listen.
