LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION: This Tranceseminars is taught in English with Chinese interpretation available upon request of special circumstances. If there are sufficient folks who require it, limited Chinese interpretation can be made available but only if requests are made very early and it can be arranged. CERTIFICATION: upon completion of this seminar, participants who are members in good standing with the Society of Experiential Trance are eligible to take the demonstrational examination toward Specialist Certification in Hypnotic Sleep Protocols with the SET.

On August 18, Brian David Phillips will be conducting a six-hour specialist seminar on HYPNOSLEEP: How to Hypnotize a Sleeping Person in Taipei, Taiwan.

This session is a comprehensive exploration of Hypnotic Sleep Methods and Hypnosleep in which Rev. Dr. Brian David Phillips will teach participants a number of processes that employ concepts from eXperiential Hypnosis theory and practice, Intensified Imaginative Involvement, Sleepnosis, Suggestion, and more. A number of techniques to intensify imaginative involvement with hypnotic methods to guide a sleeping person to enter into an hypnotic state for goal achievement and quality of life enhancement as well as personality shifting will also be demonstrated. Join us as Dr. Phillips guides participants through a series of processes, and more.

In recent years, a number of folks have discovered the power of hypnosleep for raising children or correcting juvenile behavior. Parenting is merely one of many contexts these skills can be applied. Participants may wish to use it for educational, coaching, behavioral modification, recreational, intimate, consenting adult sensuality, or even appropriate entertainment applications ore more.

If you are not familiar with experiential hypnosis principles, key concepts will be explained along with the demonstrations of techniques.

During the HYPNOSLEEP seminar, Dr. Phillips will discuss the material, perform individual demonstrations of effects, imagination games, hypnotic effects, and intimacy sequences. Participants may be experienced or newcomers. All are welcome.

INSTRUCTOR:

The seminar is taught by Rev. Dr. Brian David Phillips, an internationally known and respected hypnosis practitioner, educator, author, and entertainer. Dr. Phillips is particularly well known within the hypnosis community for his innovative work in eroticatrance (erotic hypnosis), speed hypnosis, and creative hypnosis techniques. Dr. Phillips is President of the Society of Experiential Trance and editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of Experiential Trance. Dr. Phillips is the coordinator and chief instructor for the oldest English-language hypnosis and focused-trance practice group in Taiwan and is the owner and moderator of one of the largest online email discussion communities related to hypnosis and focused trance techniques. He has taught numerous seminars and seminars on hypnosis, focused trance, and experiential hypnosis in a variety of countries throughout the world as well as a number of webinars (web-based seminars) on these and related subjects. Dr. Phillips is an associate professor at National Chengchi University. Dr. Phillips uses rapid and instant hypnosis inductions routinely in his Waking Dreams Hypnosis Show, the only ongoing entertainment comedy hypnosis stage show in Taiwan.

TEACHING METHODS:

This seminar relies upon a very fast-paced system of demonstration and practice. More than any other course, this seminar consists of demonstration, explanation, practice, practice, practice. It is NOT intended as a lecture or passive learning experience. It is a very fast-paced and energetic program so students should come ready, willing, able, and eager to jump right in and run full speed ahead. The teaching methodology is very active. Students will learn through all of their sensory learning channels, particularly aural, visual, and kinesthetic . . . listening, seeing, and doing . . . as it is a practical applications competence course, there is a great deal of supervised “doing” with immediate and useful feedback. Typically, for each subject or technique, the training is within the following process model: 1. instructor briefs students on the topic, 2. instructor demonstrates technique with student volunteer, 3. the demonstration is then broken down into steps, 4. students then practice the technique several times with one another under guidance of the instructor with ongoing feedback, 5. class debriefs about experience and technique with performance notes from instructor, 6. students continue advanced practice (including homework for some techniques), 7. final debriefing with instructor. The course focuses upon competence and application of material.

The seminar is taught in English (we are happy to provide limited English to Chinese interpretation provided a sufficient number of folks register and request it, please contact Lorraine in a very timely manner for details).

VIDEO and RECORDING POLICIES:

Please Note, participants may NOT use recording devices during the seminar. However, as is typical, the instructor may record the training. Participation in this seminar is considered explicit consent to be recorded on video, audio, and photograph. You must participate, wallflowers need not register.

While there is certainly nothing untoward in the seminar, those who wish to obscure their identity within the video, may wear a masquerade style mask (half, not full facial). See the image here for an example of acceptable style.

Videos are used for archival purposes as well as for possible training products. Participants wishing their own copies of any resulting video programs will be given the opportunity to purchase pre-release copies at a substantial savings from the retail price.
