This week, I am covering an introduction to poetry in my creative writing course at the university. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I will be asking the students to find examples of good and bad poetry. This poem is in a LOT of collections of bad poetry . . . but it’s worth noting that in its day it was still very popular.
