Good news! A number of recent scientific research studies have shown a very strong correlation between the more orgasms a person has and the longer they live! And even better news! The correlation seems to show a powerful Dose-Response Curve so that the more sex and the more orgasms folks have the healthier they are and the longer they live, so while two orgasms a week may do you good, five or ten will do you even better . . .
So, let’s take a tip from the old adage . . .

. . . so, get out there and do what needs to be done!
There’s a very common myth that in order to live longer, one must take it easy and forego sexual activity . . . the belief being that sex drains lifeforce . . . well, that myth is well and truly debunked. Sex actually enhances lifeforce and has a number of very positive benefits for immunity and longevity.
Also . . . while most studies clearly found that number of orgasms has an inverse relationship to mortality for men (the more orgasms, the less death), they’re a bit less conclusive for women. While quantity may be important, quality really starts showing its face in that women who had frequent sex but did so with men with performance issues or poor technique (read that as “the women didn’t achieve orgasm or emotional connection”) then mortality rates were not positively effected and in many cases where women were typically having sex but not achieving positive completion their mortality rates went up. Essentially, women who have frustrating sex with no orgasm or emotional bond often ended up getting sicker easier than those with satisfying sexual completion.
Now, not all studies are so happy . . . one study of nuns compared to the general populace of women found that the nuns tend to live a lot longer and they presumably have a lower orgasm rate . . . however, it should be noted that the nun study did NOT take into account that the number of nuns who smoke or who live around second hand smoke is significantly lower than women in the general population and smoking has clearly been shown to have a very negative effect upon life span, whether folks are sexually active or not. When smoking is taken into account, women who are orgasmic tend to live longer than those who don’t.
Most studies on this are on sexual intercourse activity but others have shown that even masturbation can have a beneficial effect. In fact, some medical specialists have begun recommending women learn to masturbate not only for health but also for psychological and emotional well being with classes popping up on the subject (see here) and private women-only social clubs for masturbation have begun popping up in Asia and elsewhere.

In the group with the highest orgasmic frequency, mortality was 50% lower compared to the group with the lowest frequency of orgasms. Similarly, all causes of death were inversely correlated with frequency of orgasm. The more orgasm, the lower the mortality; the fewer orgasms, the higher the mortality. This association for lower mortality was most pronounced in those with coronary heart disease. At the point when the group’s number of orgasms per year equaled 100 (about 2 per week) the death rate was significantly lower (68% less mortality) than that of the lowest frequency group (less than 1 per month)! Moreover there was good evidence for a “dose-response” relation across the study. Translated, this means that the improved mortality benefits from orgasm frequency continued – although perhaps at a less steep pace with advanced age – all the way up to daily “doses” (1 orgasm per day or 365 per year) as reported in some subjects, and possibly beyond, even to higher dose levels.
Where does this lead hypnotists? Sitting pretty and orgasmically. Seriously, we can help folks learn how to orgasm both powerfully and qualitatively. Wilhelm Reich once said that people would learn to lead happy lives if they would only learn how to have a really good orgasm. Guess what? That’s exactly what a hypnotist can teach a client or trance partner to do. Likewise, I teach folks intimacy enhancement techniques that enhance the emotional connections with sex.
So, this stuff isn’t just for fun anymore . . . although sex and orgasmic hypnosis enhancement can be pretty damned fun! It’s also important that folks pay attention to their sex lives. You’re doing it to live longer, folks!
