Okay, so some of you may have seen the video floating around of a Russian fellow touching the breasts of 1000 women . . . it’s a countdown as he works his way to 1000 women’s breasts he touches.
The video is of Sam Nickel who did the bit as an election stunt during the recent Russian elections. Nickel persevered and asked women if he could touch their breasts and after he had touched the breasts of 1000 women, he then met Vladimir Putin who he shook hands with, ostensibly transferring the magickal power of his hands to Putin for his re-election.
Yes, it’s a stupid idea and, yes, there are more than a few folks who disagreed with the election results (riot police put down a number of demonstrations and more).
Yes, Nickel persevered and did could walkups to a LOT of women and eventually got 1000 to say yes and consent to be filmed while he touched their breasts for the project.
As hypnotists, there are a number of important principles we can learn from this but first, let me stress that in the following video this is treated as a light-hearted fun prank sort of thing and explicit permission is obtained from all of the girls who participated. Each and every single girl agreed to be touched and all are above the age of consent. The project is not pornographic and at not time do the filmmakers wish to suggest it’s ever okay to walk up to any girl and touch her breasts or any other part of her body without explicit informed consent. Folks who wish to do that sort of thing are likely to find themselves facing criminal charges.
Now, having said that, let’s move on to the actual video and then discuss some lessons to be learned from the project that are useful for hypnotists.

There you have it. That’s a lot of breast touchage. Obviously, it was done in good fun and the girls were obviously consenting and playful with it . . . well, there was one face slap out of one thousand but even she was consenting – shocked but consenting. The negative or shocked reactions were obviously staged to lighten the mood.

Now . . . what’s this secret that hypnotists can learn from all this boob grabbage?
When you take a hypnosis training with me or with someone else, the core course is pretty much the beginning . . . even the really good programs can’t prepare you for everything and can only start you on your way . . . granted, some trainers provide a stronger head start than others . . . the seminar environment might provide you with opportunities to practice with other attendees, real live trance partners ready to play . . . but . . . the deck is stacked. The real trick is to go out into the real world and actually work with folks . . . human folks who aren’t your best friend’s buddy’s pal who kind of owes your nephew a favor . . . human folks you don’t actually know.
Many of the better hypnosis trainers tell their students to go out and practice with actual humans. Keeping in touch with classmates is nice, especially if you set up a regular practice group (a very very good idea) but meeting a wide variety of folks you can work with is essential to building up skillsets and learning how to do this stuff well. Getting competent is not difficult but true mastery takes the work, the practice, and putting in the hours with a wide variety of folks.
I’ve told some folks this and I know there are a number of hypnotists who say it too . . . once you’ve got your training under your belt you’re not finished, keep on learning as much as you can from a wide variety of sources, but also get out there and work with a wide variety of folks. Some will say, go out there and in your first year as a hypnotist make an effort to hypnotize one thousand people within one year. Yes, you read that right, hypnotize one thousand different folks in individual sessions within one year. So, those group sessions don’t count, it has to be one on one with different folks – you’re not counting the same person twice for different sessions, different sessions with different individuals. Some folks balk at that and others leap into it with open mind and open arm and pendulums swinging. Here’s the thing, by the time you hit that Magick One Thousand you will have seen pretty much everything you can see that might throw you off and you will have either learned to adapt in the moment or you will have given up. Hit the Magick 1000 and you will likely have become a real hypnotist, someone worth their salt.
As regular readers here may know, in addition to all the other stuff that interests me or occupies my time, I teach a lot of Walkabout Trance style street hypnosis courses. A lot. One thing I do in those courses is to have students actually go out into the world and approach strangers for genuine impromptu hypnosis sessions or playful effects. Some folks do better than others. Some are more confident at meeting strangers than others. Some fail and many succeed well past their wildest dreams.
The trick to it all is to keep on keeping on.
In the video above, Sam Nickel touched the breasts of one thousand women. That’s a LOT of women and twice as many breasts. The boobage was bountiful to say the least . . . but . . . the women shown in the video were not the only women Nickel approached for the project. Before he had one thousand women saying, “Yes,” he had well over seven thousand women who said “NO” . . . but, he didn’t let the rejections go to his head, he just kept on keeping on and eventually met the one thousand mark.
He’s not asking folks to do something as simple and as fun and easy as a simple imagination game or trance process. No, he’s asking to touch their breasts. Granted, he’s not asking to see their breasts or to have sex with them but touching them is enough. He’s not pullin’ an Ugly George so his job is a bit easier than what George would do.
I talk about Ugly George and his huge backpack camera and space suit in a number of my live classes but I’ve also discussed him in a few posts on this blog, most notably in an old post on how to Build Your Own Hypnotic Seduction System. In essence:
[There was] a fellow who based his success with women solely on a system of walking up to women he did not know on the street and simply saying “wanna fuck?” He reported an immediate success rate of one in twenty. Now, if you’re not afraid to play the numbers, you could get between the sheets with a lot of women with that system, as long as you were prepared to walk a lot of pavement and get rejected out of hand a bit, knowing with utter confidence that eventually you will hit the magick number.Of course, my favorite example of this type of approach is Ugly George . . . of Ugly George’s Hour of Truth Sex and Violence . . . some of you are old enough to emember him while a lot of you whippersnappers will not know of him . . . Ugly George was a plain ol’ average guy (not real ugly but no looker) who would walk around Manhattan with a huge video pack strapped to his back – this was the late seventies and early eighties so you know how bulky that stuff was – he would film women as he walked up to them and asked them to show their titties for cable access TV (New York City’s cable public access was wide open back then so a lot of adult shows were being shown in certain slots . . . I saw my first and only male auto-fellatio dancer on that system, now that guy was limber as he could do the deed while standing and dancing). Playboy once did the numbers and they said that one in ten women would flash their breasts for Ugly George’s camera and then he’d go to the next level and ask for sex and one in ten of the breast flashers would then agree to have sex with him (on camera). So, Ugly George’s success ratio for getting laid was one in one hundred for the women he approached . . . but he got laid a LOT because he approached a TON of women . . . so the moral of the story is that if a dopey guy with a video pack on his back can get laid then ANY man can get laid, regardless of your approach . . . you just have to let go and not take the rejection personally (George filmed and broadcast his hits and his misses, many of which were extremely violent – thus the title of his show) . . .
Now, Ugly George may have had his flash successes in part because it’s such an odd thing for a man with a camera to point it at you and ask to see your titties . . . well, unless he’s shooting a Girls Gone Wild video . . . that the girls found themselves responding as if to a waking hypnotic suggestion (not unlike Ormond McGill’s wonderful examples in his big stage hypnosis book of telling bus drivers to miss stops or turns on their route among other great examples) . . . or, a certain number of women are just waiting for a little exhibitionistic fun.

This content is for members only.So, what is the real lesson for hypnotists and pretty much everyone else from our Russian Boob Grabber? Keep on keeping on. If you get a rejection or if a session doesn’t go well then learn from it, take the feedback, but most importantly keep on keeping on . . . eventually you will hit that Magick One Thousand and while I don’t recommend immediately transferring that energy to some politician – unscrupulous or not, even if such a thing were possible – that number doesn’t magickally transform you into a hypnotic master of all you hypnotically survey but the journey to hitting that number will. Oh, yes, it will.
