Madeon’s Shuriken Music Video in 3D

The folks at CubanMidlifeCrisis have created a quirky proof of concept 3D music video for the song Shuriken by Madeon that shows that such a video works beyond the more typical let’s watch someone play instruments in 3D model with a narrative and some nice fantasy and can be accomplished with relatively inexpensive equipment (one of the closeup cameras used is the Sony Bloggie 3D which is a very portable very inexpensive 3D camcorder of sorts (one which I plan to get soon for my own bloggishness).

Here’s the video (but, honestly, you’re going to want to watch it in full frame high definition in 3D rather than as an inframe embed). If you don’t have a 3D viewer as yet (GET ONE), you can either change the 3D options in the 3D player control – just click on that 3D thingie in the player controls – or just turn off 3D completely to see it in regular ol’ vanilla 2D.

Please Note: “This is not an official video. It’s not for profit. It was created for fun, as a parody of the narrative quality that Madeon’s music has [which, it should be noted, many other music producers lack these days] and because Madeon’s music literally inspired me and my buddy to write the story.”

All the best,
Brian
