It was a bit of a special episode of Craig Ferguson‘s Late Late Show (pretty much the only late night program I watch) as his cold open featured my absolutely favorite song from the Rocky Horror Show and then later special musical guest Amanda Palmer performed a rendition of another Rocky Horror piece with her husband Neil Gaiman and her special guests Moby and Stephin Merritt.

Fun stuff. Sure, it’s not quite the same as the original production cast but it’s a fun bit as are pretty much all of Ferguson’s musical cold opens.

Science Fiction author Neil Gaiman was one of the guests for the show and so it was a bit of a special treat when he joined his wife Amanda Palmer (of the Dresden Dolls) on stage with Moby and Stephin Merritt to perform Science Fiction Double Feature also from Rocky Horror. Sure, Gaiman doesn’t look like he’s all that at home in front of a baby keyboard but it’s big juju special all the same:

My students at the university are currently rehearsing for their own Rocky Horror Show performance so this was a special treat.
