So . . . what do you do with a young woman who is very easy to hypnotize and tends to take each and every suggestion you give her regardless of location?
Um, what wouldn’t you do?
In this video clip, the hypnotist fractionizes his trance partner over and over and each time the suggestion sticks even more powerfully (a natural result of both fractionation and compounding of suggestion).
We see everything from the eye movements of a deep trance experience to full body catalepsy and various odd postures and instant reinductions and even a few animal transformations as she becomes a dog then a cat.
Obviously, the trance partner volunteer is having a lot of fun.
However, I would caution against doing full body catalepsy in this way . . . it is not safe suspending people between two chairs – sure, a lot of irresponsible hypnotists and those who should know better do it and they mostly do it without ill effect but the risk is always there and I would strongly suggest your trance partner’s safety and the minimization of risk is much more important than a momentary “wow” effect especially since so many other effects are equally or even more entertaining.
